Looking for something innovative for your kids to do this summer? Well look no further and turn up the summer fun by signing your kids up for the Robotics and Coding Summer Camp taught by Phillip Ryland and partnered with Lafayette Parents For Education.
Knowing coding is super important for a variety of careers in today’s world ranging from the medical field to engineers. Help your child get employed by letting them attend a camp where they will learn the basics of coding while building a ROBOT. Not to mention each student will take home an mbot robot complete with input sensors such as ultrasonic, light, and line-following sensors . The first sessions is dedicated to girls entering grades 5th- 7th to help raise awareness about the lack of female representation in STEM programs. The second session is co-ed for our high school students entering 9th-12th grade.
- When: July 22nd-26th –Girl Can STEM Camp (girls entering 5th-7th grade)
July 29th-August 2nd- Robotics STEM Camp (co-ed entering 9th-12th)
- Where: D. & Mary Baker Smith Career Center, 200 18th Street, Lafayette, LA 70501
- Price: $295 for the week (Financial Aid is available please call 337-278-6627 for more info)
- Time: 9am-5pm (Early drop off and late pick up is available for an extra $10 per day per student. Early Drop off is 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM)
Parents to register your students go to lafayetteparentsforeducation.org You will need to provide lunch for your student and snacks are on us. Can’t wait to see those awesome robots this summer!
