For the fourth year, Lafayette Travel will host the Taste of EatLafayette event in conjunction with Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board’s 2021 Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off (LASCO), Tuesday, June 22, at the CAJUNDOME Convention Center, from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
This is the 14th year for Louisiana’s premier cooking competition, which is presented by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board.
The tasting event offers a chance to sample cuisine from locally owned restaurants participating in EatLafayette while watching chefs from around the state compete for the title of Louisiana Seafood King/Queen. The winner of the 2021 Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off will earn the title King of Kings as the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board takes a year to reflect on the many successful past champions. Chef Robert Vasquez, the 2020 King of Louisiana Seafood, will represent the state in the 17th annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off in New Orleans on Saturday, August 7, at the Morial Convention Center.
