Lafayette Ballet Theatre continues its magical holiday tradition and will present The Nutcracker ballet at the Heymann Performing Art Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10.

The full-length classical ballet performances showcase the talents of over 130 local students across Acadiana and guest artists from Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. The production promises to take the audience on a holiday journey into the enchanting world of E.T.A. Hoffmann with the help of Peter Tchaikovsky’s delightful musical score, dazzling stage sets, and spectacular special effects.
