Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Little Flower Auditorium at 102 Pine Street Arnaudville, La., we will be having our TRIAD workshop.  It starts at 9:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm with a lunch served, with live music and door prizes from local merchants and healthcare providers.  Guest Speaker will be Dr. Dakin with OGH.    

TRIAD is an agreement between the National Sheriff’s Association, International Association of Chiefs of Police and the American Association of Retired Persons.  It was implemented to protect our senior citizens through activities that inform them of the latest fraud and scam’s tactics.          

A workshop is a full day of information on fraud, identity theft, drugs awareness, personal safety, and other safety and health issues concerning our senior citizens.  Workshops are held all over the parish to reach all of our senior citizens ages 60 and above.  Groups average around 250 during the workshops and 500 at the TRIAD Christmas Party in December.  After the workshops, our guests are treated to free lunch with all the trimmings sponsored by Sheriff Guidroz.  The workshop also includes door prizes donated by the sheriff’s office and area merchants ranging from home decorations, personal items, to security equipment. The day is completed with games of bingo for more prizes. Crime Stoppers donates a $100 check to the winner.
