UPDATE: With an abundance of caution and concern, Autism Society Acadiana decided to POSTPONE the 2020 Walk or Hope to help protect our members, attendees, staff & volunteers during the COVID-19 outbreak. In the current environment, it’s important to work together as a community to decrease the transmission and lower the impact of this disease.
We are exploring options to reschedule The Walk and offer other ways for people to participate in our National Autism Awareness Month efforts.
We will continue to work hard to bring you meaningful events that create more opportunities to advocate for a better quality of life for those affected by autism.

Our Walk For Hope is our annual family-oriented fundraiser to support people with autism and their families while improving autism awareness. All funds raised from this event stay in our community and support Autism Society Acadiana’s programs & resources.
We strive to make a positive impact on families touched by autism, assisting them as they travel along in their journey.
Pre-Registration Fees:
$20 for adults ages 13 and up, which includes a t-shirt
$15 for ages 4-12, which includes a t-shirt
Children 3 years and under – Free
Pre-registration deadline is 11:59 pm CST on Saturday, March 28. Event t-shirts are only guaranteed for individuals who pre-register through RunSignUp, by mail, or in person at our office.
Onsite Registration Fees (Day of the event): $25 per person ages 4 and older; no charge for children ages 3 years and under.
Walk Details: Onsite registration and sign-in for pre-registered participants begins at 7:30 AM.
The one-mile walk starts promptly at 9:00 AM at the front of Blackham Coliseum & will proceed down Cajundome Blvd. to the Cajundome and back to the Coliseum, followed by great family fun until 12 PM. Food and soft drinks will be available, while supplies last.
